In December 2011 our UK office invested in some independent market research to find out what the trade really think about our flagship product K-Seal. Although K-Seal sales have climbed to 2 million units, complacency is never an option! We learnt from this research that 89.4% of stockists recommend K-Seal to their customers and an awesome 65% advise customers asking for another brand of permanent coolant leak repair, to buy K-Seal instead. Another benefit of the research was the overwhelmingly positive feedback about K-Seal. This included for example:

“It is the best sealer on the market that I have come across in a long time. A customer used K-Seal and two years afterwards it is still doing its job.”

“The trade come in and ask for K-Seal by name”

And…

“I would recommend K-Seal every time as it gets the best customer feedback of any product we stock.”

We’d love you to share your experience of K-Seal with us. Contact us. Tell us what you think about it.

Solv-Tec K-Seal together with other coolant leak repair products has been tested by the engineering department at a leading British University using the ASTM D-3147 test method. They concluded that K-Seal not only met the requirements of the standard but that it also sealed the largest holes when compared with other total coolant leak repair products. The team who carried out the testing did comment that the test methods described in the ASTM standard were very simplistic and dated and they felt it did not reflect the challenges placed on leak repair products by modern engine cooling systems. Watch this space as we reveal the results in the coming months of how K-Seal fares versus the competition with the more challenging testing standards currently being established by the University.

Many coolant leak repairs may claim to be the best product on the block but we’ve gone one step further and shown through independent market research conducted in by our UK office in December 2011 that Solv-Tec K-Seal is the champion! Here’s an extract from the market research report. “K-Seal retains its number one slot and continues to dominate the leak sealant market. Not only is it still the preferred leak sealant brand by a long way, but it is also the brand that is consistently recommended over all others and remains the bestselling product of its type. The reasons for this dominance are essentially threefold. Firstly, it is widely regarded as being the most effective leak sealant available. Secondly, many of those who stock it have themselves had first-hand experience of using it and know how effective it is at resolving the leak. Thirdly, trade customers continue to love it and, as we have seen in the past couple of years, provide valuable positive feedback to stockists.”

Don’t settle for inferior substitutes. Ask your stockist for Solv-Tec K-Seal. Remember, a repair made with Solv -Tec K-Seal is guaranteed for the lifetime of the engine.

Mike bought a 12-year-old HSE model with a number of problems including overheating and water use issues. It needed a new block – with a potential repair bill of £2000. In Mike’s own words… “My only resort was to try one of the remedies found on the shelves of the motorist stores and see if that worked. I classify many of the wonder cures available for cars as snake oil as they are essentially quack medicine but there are odd ones I have used that work and one of those is K-Seal… I have used it with great effect on 300 TDI engines with porosity problems in the cylinder head castings. I therefore decided to give it a go on the P38 engine as, at worse, I would waste £20 and at best I might have a usable vehicle. I shot a couple of bottles of it into the top hose as it is the quickest way to introduce it into the cooling system. I then ran the engine for about 20 minutes, taking small amounts of water every few minutes to top up the header tank…. Off for a test drive and 10 miles later it was still fine. I wish all repairs were as easy as this and perhaps all the potions on the motorist centres’ shelves are not snake oil. After all, K-Seal might just be that magic elixir solution for Rover V8 engines.”

Although we initially started supplying K- Seal in the UK, in recent years we have started supplying it to America and New Zealand. And now Russia has been added to our list. K-Seal permanently fixes most leaks in the block, head, head gasket, and radiator and heater matrix permanently. It’s trusted and used by the leading roadside recovery service.
